She’s got the curly hair. A bit of makeup and a hairbow will do wonders. I always thought Umbridge was an older woman, in her 60s or so. And quite frankly, one of the most evil teachers ever in fiction. ---

Geez, the Staunton casting was announced a couple of months ago! Natalia Tena was Ellie in About a Boy. I always pictured Tonks as stringier, personally, but she’s a good actress and it should be interesting to watch. ---

Imelda Staunton as Dolores Umbridge? I don’t think it’s possible to have cast that role better. She’s a fabulous actress (my favorite role of hers is Bunty, the Amazon hen from _Chicken Run_). And heaven forbid that I should step outside of my southern gentleman persona and say anything negative about a lady’s appearance…but Ms. Staunton has _not_ aged gracefully since her turn as Margaret in _Much Ado About Nothing_, a mere 13 years ago. It’s extremely easy for me to imagine her as Umbridge.
