And I’m picking nits already. The spell states the keywords that it has detected. The first one it states is “Gate.” But I can’t find where anyone said “Gate.” Just words like “Entrance” and “Rift.” Either a goof or a clue to an illusion. ---

Hehe. Glorified petting zoo. I’m not sure I get the ranger reference though. Does he mean “the ranger didn’t know what the hell he was doing, so your maps aren’t worth fuck all”, or did I miss something and/or forget part of the backstory ? ETA : oh, and BTW, put me down for 5 bucks on “double bluff” : the gate really is here - the illusion is misdirection. ---
