That red hair sure carries through the generations, doesn’t it? I wonder how that second one from the left in Draketooth’s generation got skipped. Also, it looks like that generations starts with the facial marks/scars/tattoos. ---

I was trying to figure out why you’d need the whamming thing when you already had a trapdoor. Best I can figure is that for dramatic purposes the bird needed to fall into the trap too. ---

The trap door is there to hide the bodies. The stomper didn’t push them into the pit - first it smashed them, \*then \*the trap door opened. ---

Yeah that trapdoor is already open when the stomper comes down, that is what is shown in the third to last panel.
