[Final Fantasy VI](http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Final_Fantasy_VI_Characters) (or 3 in the US). I hate Amano’s art, but you can click on the character names to get their pages. The OotS versions are taken from the sprites which have absolutely no relation to Amano’s art. ---

You can summon the Esper/Guardian Force/Materia Phoenix to resurrect one or more party members. There was a limit on the number of characters that an item could have as a name, so it was spelled Fenix. FFVI/3A is quite possibly the very best console video game ever. Chrono Trigger gives it a run for its money, though. ---

I found Mog to be quite useful, as well as being adorable. Certainly better than that little spoiled brat Relm. Now, Relm DID put Ultros in his place, but hell, another character could have held up a mirror or something to make him realize that he wasn’t anything more than an overgrown octopus. ---
