I _realy_ want to call that that’s not Elan’s father, rather it’s Nale in disguise. But I can’t get around the fact that Nale would never play as “Elanish” as Tarquin seems to be. ---

At this point, I think it’s become pretty likely that Tarquin’s working on some plan and not just reacting to events. I’m assuming he knew about the Order all along and used the bounty on Nale (with its ambiguous language) as a means of capturing Elan.
