This strip seems to disprove the theory that Haley’s mother was some kind of celestial being. And we now know she’s not a natural redhead. ---

I think **Nemo** is referring to the flashback frame, but all the colors in that frame are faded from being viewed through the rain. Note that Haley’s hair in that frame is still the same color as her father’s. ---

OK, this almost certainly torpedoes my earlier speculation, now that Ian has a personal reason to be doing what he’s doing. Wonder at what point Ian will be handing over everything he has? (Or rather, what loophole he’ll use to keep from paying up on his bet?) ---

Males do the opposite. ---
