I don’t think he has the ring of jumping any more. Belkar lent it to him, but I’m sure got it back when they recovered Roy’s body. ---

Aside: the exploit by which the _Mechane_ is guaranteed to get them there in the nick of time can’t really function if the _Mechane_ no longer exists, so they better not let the ship get destroyed. ---

There isn’t actually anyone around left to kill so it’s not like he’s really giving up a chance to kill people.
