Over a month for that? We already know what they’re doing. Why not at least finish the process by shrinking Bloodfeast, or is he going to spend another month and another whole strip to do that? ---

I, for one, found the scene somewhat moving, especially when Belkar soothes Bloodfeast, who is going mad from terror about what’s happening to him. Or her. Has that been canonically established? I do agree that a month seemed like a long wait for the strip. ---

Missed the edit window: And since we know that Belkar’s prophesied death WILL happen, I’ve just figured out how: He will be mortally wounded, and before (or maybe just after) he expires, Sunny will turn _him_ into stone, so after the ultimate victory, the two of them can be his memorial monument together. ---

It’s kind of hard to tell with reptiloids anyway. At the natural history museum where I volunteer we have a live Gila monster, “Leopold.” In truth we don’t know whether it’s male or female and to determine that would take a cloacal examination by a reptile DVM. While we have one come in once a month to make sure it’s healthy, there’s been no reason to perform the examination. ---

Unlike Japan, there aren’t any publishers who can swoop in and provide support staffing. So output is artisanal as is presumably bookkeeping and administration to some extent. On the plus side, his hit percentage is extremely high according to my tastes. Well north of 90%, possibly around 99%. (YMMV of course.) I read a fair amount of manga, and it’s unlikely that a random page will produce joy. ---
