What is the meaning (if any) of the symbol stamped on Oreo cookies?

Pretty sure I heard something about this on the radio once and it is entirely made up by some guy. A lot of people have theorized about occult and other meanings to the symbols, but they are basically doodles.

> It’s not known what direction, if any, Turnier was given when it was time to give the Oreo a facelift. The only thing he kept was the cookie’s name in the center. In place of the wreaths, Turnier positioned an array of four-petal flowers. Surrounding the word “Oreo” was a colophon, or emblem, that was a circle with two crossed lines at the top. It was the same design Nabisco had been using to adorn its company logo.
>
> “That was his idea,” Turnier says. “That design goes back to monks who used it on the bottom of manuscripts they copied in Medieval times. It was a sign of craft—saying they did the best they could. Nabisco really liked that.”

This was discussed in the book Bigger Secrets.

It’s a scientific fact that an Oreo has never remained uneaten long enough for anyone to notice the symbol.

[It’s the Cross of Lorraine, which is either encoding NABISO’s involvement in the underground occult stream of the Sacred Feminine, or Satan. Maybe also alchemical sulphur.](https://www.jasoncolavito.com/blog/tracing-the-origins-of-the-oreo-cookie-conspiracy). You be the judge.

To be fair, that’s true for almost anything whether the real meaning is known or not. Check out Starbucks, for example.
