Although of course, you wouldn’t be, because…you know…you’d be dead? 😉 For-profit organ donation isn’t something I support either, though I suppose there might be some model possible in which it could work. I really don’t know - I never thought about it! ---

I really don’t know - I never thought about it! It’s coached in different words, but I’ve seen several locations where you’d get “compensated for your troubles” when donating eggs. The ones I’ve seen were all for private-practice clinics, therefore all-private, all-billable procedures (the countries were Spain, Italy and the US). There is a distinction which I consider important, in this case: the donation is not for a transplant and it is for an elective procedure.
