I’ll be heading to Origins, but Gods know what I’m going to be involved in once I get there. I would definitely be interested in attending a Doper gathering, though. As an aside, Looney Labs does kick some serious ass. A couple of friends I know from the gaming club at Virginia Tech are heavily involved in Looney Labs, though I’m not sure in what capacity. ---

One week to go. Sunday or Monday I’ll try to take the time to analyze my schedule and see what hour-spans I have free for a Doper meet-n-greet… perhaps at the top of the stairs beyond the great causeway from the Hyatt Regency… looking over the area where the registration booth normally stands? ---

If any of you attendies stop by the 7th Sea LARP (Rex Castillianos), gimmie a nod. I’ll be pretty much the only guy there -not- in costume who’s GMing. Also, only two of my games have filled up, so far. C’mon people, let’s get butts into those seats! 🙂 ---

Allrighty, looks like the schedule for me is : Thursday - 1-5PM, 7-11PM Friday 6PM-12Midnight Saturday 10AM-2PM, 6PM-Midnight So, I can arrange to be at the end of the concourse around dinnertime Thursday, or anytime during the day Friday, or Saturday afternoon, or Sunday before I check out. When’s good for anyone else? ---

Gorgon Heap? Podkayne? Andros\_X? Still planning on being in the area? For the record, there’s a large, glass-sided concourse connecting the main body of the Hyatt Regency to the Convention Center area where the bulk of events take place. There’s a grouping of stairs and escalators leading down from the concourse into the Convention Center. I’m going to try to hang around at the top of those for… oh, say fifteen minutes, beginning at 1PM, EST. (If that time’s bad for somebody, let me know - I have other schedule gaps) I’m easily identifiable by the backpack I perpetually carry - it’s navy blue in color and bears my initials on the back. Or, hey, glance in the most recent picture thread - there’s a link to a profile shot of mine in there. Nobody try to assassinate me, okay? Please be prepared to tell me your SDMB nickname… I always enjoy putting a face to a pseudonym. Hmmm. That’s about it, methinks. ---

Sorry, **CandidGamera** , I did a last minute push to try to get a bunch of stuff done for the boss-man before leaving, so I didn’t have much of a chance to read SDMB. I did have a wonderful time. I played 20 new board and card games in three days, and took third place in a big board game tournament. I also waited in line for four hours for a Galactus (for the hubby). We played my travel copy of Settlers of Catan, so it was fun. I returned home with a copy of [Monkeys on the Moon](http://www.eightfootllama.com/motm.htm) and a Mooninites T-shirt (THE MOON RULZ #1!!!) plus plenty of free swag and some gifts for friends.
