So, no, I am not going to accept your vision of the Birthers as Grandpa and Grandma Walton on their rockers in the mountains, ready to open the hearts to everyone as soon as they get to know them. ---

I’m definitely not talking about whatever it is you’re talking about. I didn’t make any mention of old age or grandparents. A lot of these people are younger than me (and, for the record, I grew up in the sixties). As I pointed out, the life they’re imagining is fiction - America was never really the way they think it was. A genuinely old person who lived back in those “good old days” would be more likely to realize that then somebody who’s basing their knowledge off of nostalgia. ---

Chester Fucking Arthur wasn’t a citizen? As far as I can tell, the only people born here who would be excluded from citizenship are children of diplomats and royalty and such, who aren’t subject to the jurisdiction of the US (which is I believe why they can’t get parking tickets). ---
