What is the process for removing a Permanent Bonded Retainer? How long does it take to remove? Is numbing necessary? What tools are needed?

dentist here. real easy to do, no anesthetic needed. Either just pop it off with special pliers or use a handpiece to remove the composite. Afterword just smooth the residual composite. Only a few minutes. Composite is the white filling material it is bonded on with.
