It’s a stupid custom deserving of mockery that ought to be stopped on the grounds that it carries unacceptable health risks and serves no purpose. Jews and non-Jews alike should have the right to say so without being accused of being on the side of the Nazis. ---

I can easily imagine a thread on a Haredi message board criticizing the immodest, disgusting, and [dangerous](http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090803222113.htm) activity of cheerleading. The risk is 1 in 4000, and disgusting is subjective. The only real problem I see is informed consent. New York City is handling this well. The mohels and the “dick-sucking” ranters? Not so much. ---

I’m sure what you’ve written is true. But I don’t believe you said “If we…” in an effort to be sarcastic. The rest of the sentence was sarcasm. The use of “we” instead of just having the courage to claim the action for yourself was part of your “Include Me! Please!” pathos. I’m happy with the quality of the arguments I have made here. I’m not too thrilled with the general response, but I’m used to disappointment. I’m not persuaded that the science supports an outright ban, and I have already explicitly said I favor the notification under discussion in the OP. What I have consistently opposed is the sophomoric “dick sucking” characterizations to describe the practice. You should too. ---
