# Os mos kapot?

I used to hear this phrase, or something like it, back in the 50’s or 60’s. It wasn’t very common, but once in a while radio djs would say it at the end of their show. Also regular people would say it like “Well, I gotta osmoskapot” when getting ready to leave.
I’ve spelled it phonetically, of course. Could be “aus”, and it sounds vaguely german.
Any ideas? If I put this in GQ, somebody’s gonna yell at me. MPSIMS-ers are much too nice to do that. 😛

I believe the phrase you are looking for is “Nov Schmoz Ka Pop”, and here is a little bit about it:

No, the speaker of “nov schmoz kapop” was a little hitchhiker with a long white beard. He carried a sign with the phrase on it, with a question mark, I think.
The Smokey Stover line you are thinking of was “notary sojac”. And it was a grteat comic, with two-wheeled cars and chairs in the shape of a hand.
