According to this [article](http://www.vny.com/cf/News/upidetail.cfm?QID=221304) Osama Bin Laden sent an email address to Pakistani news media. The email address is [osamabinlaaden@hotmail.com](mailto:osamabinlaaden@hotmail.com). His terrorist group was known to communicate using hotmail in the past. ---

I thought his hosts, the Taliban, had outlawed Internet use? Yes, I distinctly remember folks being puzzled by this dictate because the Taliban themselves were the only ones in Afghanistan likely to have access to it, anyway. Anyway, maybe the double “a” is the way he personally spells it and we evil Westerners just drop the extra “a” to save a space of precious newsprint. I swear, at least half of the rules in the AP Stylebook are there to save exactly one character’s worth of space. ---

just read the “email.” Why the hell would he write it in English, especially if it’s being addressed to Pakistani news media? (it doesn’t appear to be translated, as the editor refers to specific phrases being original) And he mispells his own last name at the end? Riiiight.
