I’ve only seen Lawrence and Watts. I hope to see Chastain’s performance before Sunday. Of those two, Lawrence was my favorite by far. I thought Watts’ performance was fine, but I don’t get the Oscar love. Yeah, motherly devotion and self-sacrifice, blah blah blah (I keed, I keed), but a good part of her performance was her ghastly near-death makeup, so … JLawr (is that a thing? I take credit if it is) was fantastic. I admit I have a little movie star crush on her, but she really nailed that character. ---

I’ve seen Chastain, Lawrence and Wallis. Out of those three, believe it or not, I would pick Wallis. She was by far the best thing about that movie. I suspect Riva will win for _Amour_ but I can’t vote for her because I haven’t seen it yet. ---

I’ve only seen _Silver Linings Playbook_ and _Beasts of the Southern Wild_. From those, I go with J[del]iggly[/del]ennifer Lawrence. I suspect it will be Emmanuelle Riva, though. ---

This is a very good category, so it’s a measure of how good Emmanuelle Riva is that she blows the other four nominees away. I’m hoping that she wins, and I actually think it might happen. ---

I’ve seen Wallis, Lawrence & Chastain and I thought Lawrence was fantastic and stood out as a contender and possible winner while still watching it, not so with the others. I heard Watts is terrific and _hope_ to see The Impossible before the week is out. And yeah, smart money is on Riva. ---
