Other than IT Certs, what are some occupational qualifications I can earn by exam only?

If you can pass the exam, you can become a licensed insurance agent in South Carolina without having to do anything much more than pay the fees and pass a criminal background search.

There is a continuing ed requirement afterward to retain the license, but no requirements for classroom work, internship at an actual agency or similar to get the license.

In North Carolina, you do need class time for property and casualty lines, but coursework before an exam for other lines such as crop hail damage or surplus lines is not required.

I think we may have a winner here - the OP can read up on the subject, go to a Prometric testing center and take the North Carolina Crop Hail Damage Adjuster license exam.

And have a crapload of college credits, often 150 hours. Although they can be in various fields…I don’t know that there’s a minimum number of accounting credits required, specifically.

I immediately thought of real estate but some classwork may be required there as well.

Some MBA programs have a CPA exam prep option, so apparently that’s enough regardless of your undergraduate background.
