Costanza?
Ah, my bad, I read half-sister as twin sister. Too much egg nog i guess.
I know at Children’s Hosptial in Chicago, they say they average about 10 deaths a year from superinfection of bacteria. These are kids that somehow come across these bacteria that aren’t responsive to antibiotics and they can die in as little as eight hours. Though it can take a week in some cases.
Sad 'cause most people think bacterial infections are all treatable.
They once were.
The overuse and misuse of antibiotics is what created these new bacteria. It’s only going to get worse.
I hope no local news producers catch this thread- “The nameless fear that has been killing our children has been revealed: Anything. There is no way to prepare for it and no way to prevent it. Anything can and will kill your children at any time. And now here’s Susan to tell us what we need to do to prepare for the preventing of this unspeakable horror.”
Funny thing is, other than her obituary the local media made no mention of her death at all. You would think the 6 o’clock news would be all over it.
In some cases cancer can kill really quick too. Gene Upshaw died the same week he was diagnosed with cancer , I think it was in his pancreas. I guess he was sick before that week but did not know it.
For once, I want it to be Lupus.
I thought it was Lupus once. Only once.
While the missuse of antibiotics does accelerate the process, antibiotic resistance is inevitable regardless of how sparingly and correctly antibiotics are used.
Update: According to a third-hand source, “it was strep.” I don’t know what strain or what form or anything like that, but apparently streptococcus aurelii is what did it.
