# Ouch-I'm so freaking stupid!

In a moment of annoyance over some minor thing, I kicked my vanity bench. With nothing on my feet but fuzzy slippers. And my vanity bench is metal.
Now, I have a big, throbbing blood blister on my middle toe-most of it under my toenail. Joy. It’s sore, and tender, and it hurts like a bitch.

(Yes, I have a cold pack on it.)

Eek, as the vanity bench seems to have won the fight, I suppose it will become even more vain now. :eek:

Never mind, visiting my mother at the weekend, I fetched stuff from a kitchen wall cupboard then smashed the cupboard door into my face. (My “excuse” is that the kitchen has been recently redesigned and I’m not used to it, but well, it’s not a very _good_ excuse, is it?)

I’ll see your blood blister and raise you a broken foot (when I kicked the wood frame of a couch, because I was frustrated at my bf at the time).

I tried popping the blister, but that sucker is either just a really bad bruise, or too damned dense, because it wouldn’t burst. A friend suggested I should wait a few days, and only try to pop it if the toenail falls off. :eek:
Damn, this thing is THROBBING. Stupid toe. Stupid bench. Stupid me.

Hmm. I have a friend who did that, and it turned into a fungal infection under the toenail. If that happens to you, have the toenail removed and grow it out right away–in a year it will be as good as new.
not what you wanted to hear perhaps, but a valuable piece of advice
