Congratulations, you’ve found one instance of the word “spirit” that has a metaphorical translation as wind or life, because it relates directly to an aspect of G-d in a metaphorical sense.

It’s not a global translation and you can’t use the same word interchangeably with the other 1000 instances of the word “spirit” in the NT alone. Don’t even get me started on the OT.

That’s like saying ordering huevos for breakfast in Tijuana will always get you some strange looks and potential hostility instead of being asked if you want them ranchero style or American style.

> Again science will never prove the spiritual because it can’t, it is designed to. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God, and the way to learn what is really happening is just to seek God (not to seek information), and God will reveal the information. Again it’s not reincarnation so to speak, but one life. Reincarnation believers take it as a soul refining process, so the spiritual self has some influence of past lives.
>
> People do remember, but they are very much in the spiritual, their bodies are in a state of what we would call sensory isolation. There is sound, mostly a regular heartbeat and digestive noise, sense of motion, sometimes feeling through kicking and some body kenimatic (?), but very little.

I agree science can’t prove anything that isn’t there. 🙂

Since you won’t pay attention to science, I googled pre-birth memories, and [this guy](http://www.near-death.com/mills.html) claims he has them. He said he came down from the bright skies of Heaven, as opposed to the stygian darkness of Sheol. He says he remembers, because unlike everybody else, he wasn’t born with a veiled soul that prevents those memories. So he disagrees with you about people remembering.

Hehe OK, since you won’t listen to those nasty scientists, how about the Catholic Church? It’s the first of many many instances, both the Hebrew and Greek use the word for spirit that also means wind. There is also a sepereate word for soul in both Heb. and Greek, which is something else.

The scriptures are not historical, as history is written by man and in error (as God tells us BTW), the scriptures are truth. There are no contradictions, just misunderstanding on the part of the readers about the world. The RCC does what it can, there are people of God seeking, just as I am seeking, errors will be exposed by God in His time and His truth will prevail.

Onan became the husband of his brothers wife once his brother died. The child would have been his ‘biologically’ but would have been his brothers in reality. There
appeared to be a child stuck in Sheol that God wanted to come into the world.

This is also interesting in terms of multiple partner females, if she has sex, trying to avoid pregnancy through contraceptives a child could be created spiritually. Once she marries and desires children the children may not be the husbands, but the former sex partners. This would cause less bonding between father and child, and overall a falling away of the apparent necessity of the father figure.

As for oral sex, again it would go to the intent of it. If the couple were intentionally trying to avoid pregnancy then that would cause problems IMHO, if the oral sex was just part of sex play of a couple that was letting God determine if a child is to come about, IMHO is OK.

The ideal and the requirement for blessings is God is the one to do the planning of parenthood and if that is the intent, anything else is taking that away from God, putting your trust in man (and demon) instead of God.

That’s… interesting.

Children are created spiritually, even if there is no conception? What determines whether a spiritual child is created during sex? Can this happen to a married couple using birth control? I know women who used birth control all their married life (they and their husband just didn’t want children), and are now well into menopause, so there is no chance those spiritual babies are getting out of limbo, or where ever they are. What happens to them? Is god stuck with them, or does he surprise other women with these changelings?

Where did this unique view of spiritual conception come from? Did god impart this knowledge directly to you, or did he use a human prophet?

No contradictions? You might want to[take a look at this site](http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html) then.

A few examples:
\*\*
God good to all, or just a few?\*\*
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
\*\*
Who is the father of Joseph?\*\*
MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.
\*\*
The sins of the father\*\*
ISA 14:21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
DEU 24:16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Hey what’s that? Deuteronomy contradicts your main schtick about the Legacy of Sin!

I don’t think anybody’s claiming the Big Guy lied. The people who wrote the Bible just made some mistakes. OK, make that numerous mistakes. It’s hard to ferret out the truth when the witnesses are unreliable. They’re only human.

This may exactly the same issue as Onan, the child was begotten by one guy (Er. the first husband), but the child’s bio-father was actually Judah, the father of Tamar.

I believe this issue is very much in play today, children growing up with people (at least fathers) which are not their real parents, leaving that child not able to totally connect with the false parents, the term ‘planned parenthood’ is not just a physical term but a spiritual term where we allow the enemy to plan our parenthood. For those who can accept this I believe this is ‘Satan’s so-called deep secrets’ as mentioned in Rev 2:24. The destruction of the family unit.

Also the differences in the gospels can be better understood first looking at the differences between Samuel/Kings vs. Chronicles in the light of the divided kingdom.

From Onan it would appear that children can be begotten, which I take of ‘split off of’ as opposed to created, something along the lines of, but not the same as, Eve was taken out of Adam. Eve always existed, but was part of Adam.

Changelings don’t seem to be the right term, I believe that refers to another aspect. If the couple is trying to prevent pregnancy, it is against the first order God gave man kind, as such would be surrendering some authority to a demon, so that demon might get to plan who’s child this would be.

God has me working with a lot of thrown away children lately, I believe the amount of unloved children\>adults in society today is related to the number of abortions, and believe He has revealed some of the spiritual aspects of reproduction.

They can be _best_ explained when you realize that they’re stories written long after the fact by forgetful humans who were probably making bits of it up as they went along.

I mean, that neatly explains why the stories of who visited Jesus’s tomb are utterly and irreconcileably contradictory. But go ahead: explain who went to the tomb in which order and when, in a way that makes all the stories “true”.

No contradictions? You might want to[take a look at this site](http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html) then.

A few examples:

> [@](#):
>
> \*\*

I’ve already gone into this one, the curse, even death is sometimes needed for them to get eternal life. The curses are not for punishment but discipline, it is what the people need to live the eternal blessed life. Even in His curses He is merciful.

> [@](#):
>
> Who is the father of Joseph?\*\*
> MAT 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
> LUK 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli.

Answered above

> [@](#):
>
>

This is orders to man, not God, not to punish the father for the crimes of the children nor the children for the father. God states that He will punish to the 4th’s generation, but prohibits man from doing so

> I don’t think anybody’s claiming the Big Guy lied. The people who wrote the Bible just made some mistakes. OK, make that numerous mistakes. It’s hard to ferret out the truth when the witnesses are unreliable. They’re only human.

I’d rather you make the claim God lied, as saying there are mistakes in the Word is really foolishness.

> [@](#):
>
> What’s so wrong with “worldly?” Are you saying I’m using too much logic and practical experience and God doesn’t have room for it?

When God already tells you something is one way and you insist on seeking it out yourself He says you will find delusions. He warns us already - don’t try it won’t work. But by and by we all seem to do this.

> [@](#):
>
> Yes, I’ve seen it. The prisoners didn’t get to torture or rape the kids though. They just yelled at them a lot.

But the parents/police don’t have ultimate control of what happens, nor are they sure it will work, God has total control and knows exactly what we need.

> [@](#):
>
> Again, we were talking about GOD. You said we discuss with God how our lives will be before we’re born, remember? I don’t know about you, but if I got to discuss with the Big Guy what my future life will be like, I’ll opt for comfort and riches.

My take on it is God gives us simple instructions, like just trust in me, don’t talk to demons, no matter what they say. We also IMHO feel the total Love of God, which I have felt, at least a aspect of, so strong that I almost fell down. It is almost audible it is so strong.

Then demons come and tempt us with something, then the process starts because we don’t listen.

4 intersecting worlds.

Now I know you are just screwing with us. It sounds more and more like you just make it up as you go along. Congratulations for keeping it up so long.

I swear, you are just like Basil Fawlty of _Fawlty Towers_. He’ll tell a lie to get somebody off his back, then when they inquire further, he’ll add more false details to the point of utter ridiculousness. He absolutely will not admit to the lie and will do everything he can to stage reality to support the lie.

You keep adding heaps of manure to your original assertion that God allows demons to harm us in order to prime us for eternal bliss, despite scripture like this:

“The Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy.” (JAS 5:11)
“For his mercy endureth forever.” (1CH 16:34)
“The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works.” (PSA 145:9)
“God is love.” (1JO 4:16)

Aaaaaaaand you say you couldn’t find any scripture that God allows demons to rape us, but you think it’s a reasonable assumption because of the story of Sodom & Gomorrah? He destroyed the city with brimstone and fire, right? No demonic rape and torture involved.

> [@](#):

Are you fucking serious? Dude, God’s word was written by _humans_. Goat farmers, anguished Jewish nomads, disciples thirty years after the fact, etc, then by translators who made best guesses 3 or 4 times removed before the King James Version came to be. Humans make errors. Get used to it.

Here’s a few more conflicting biblical passages for ya:

**Judas died how?**
“And he cast down the pieces of silver into the temple and departed, and went out and hanged himself.” (MAT 27:5)
“And falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all of his bowels gushed out.” (ACT 1:18)

**Ascend to heaven**
“And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” (2KI 2:11)
“No man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven, … the Son of Man.” (JOH 3:13)

**How old was Jehoiachin when he began to reign?**
2KI 24:8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother’s name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
2CH 36:9 Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD.

Wow, you really are bound and determined to remain ignorant, aren’t you? Well, don’t let me stop you. What attracted you to the SDMB anyway, if you don’t want to fight ignorance?

The scriptures are the REAL truth because it says so in the scriputures.

Blather, rinse, repeat.
