[/QUOTE] Actually, if I recall correctly, much of your demon-based knowledge of the world is based on interpretation from text, rather than on the text itself, and I do not recall Jesus (Son of God or no) making any statement on Ouija boards whatsoever; in fact, in your very post you say “IMO”. I would also point out that by saying “Jesus the Son of God”, you discredit every faith (and nonfaith) that does not believe him to be so, which is somewhat the majority. I suspect rather that it is the discredit given to your particular sacred text, rather than the idea of discredit done to any sacred text in general, which is more the target for your ire, since you have done the same many more times over in your reply. ---

Hasbro makes the evil stuff. Seriously, though, if you get the right group of people (who are “into” it) and set the right tone (candles, lights off, etc) it can get kinda creepy. But, that’s kind of the point of the game. It’s not evil, it’s just cardboard. ---

In Taiwan, they play a game called “cup fairy” or “coin fairy”, moving said items as a planchette to point to characters on a piece of paper. Thought it was interesting that this game has much the same kind of dire reputation as the Western Ouija board. Also, stuff like demonic possession, fortune telling and ghosts are a bit more widely believed over here, without necessarily any correlation with the believer’s membership in organized religion. ---

There is no such thing.” to refer to the existent of demons, in which case it is directly anti-scriptural - there are demons, they exist, to deny that is to deny the Word of God. That is a fair assessment, but many faiths have sacred text that include the existance of demons, though they may be called something different, like evil spirits (Hebrew), jin (Islam), etc. Even if not recognized as ‘evil’ d_a_emons are recognized in the old Greek faith. ---

I personally feel that Ouija boards can be dangerous in the same way that conmen and spiritualists can be dangerous. I don’t think they channel the great THJYUIL or whatever, but certain personality types seem to get themsleves worked up about them. If the game is making you uncomfortable, don’t play it. The same can be said for Monopoly. ---

There aren’t. They don’t. Not only do I deny the word of god, I deny there is a god, period. All interpretations of Scripture are equally valid, as it is all made up by humans and means whatever the reader wants it to mean. ---
