While we are experiencing a very cold winter in many places, it can give rise to some interesting shots for the amateur photographers amongst us. Why not share a few? I’ll play. I splurged on a new lens just before Christmas, and was duly rewarded when I went up to the Lake District over the holidays. Beautiful macros, **Devorin**. Mind if I ask what lens you were using? That lens is a blooming miracle; really, really sharp and crisp. Being able to get really close to subjects has been a revelation in the way I see them - every last little detail is suddenly sharp. Well, this winter shot of mine is turning out to be my second-most faved pic so far at Flickr. It is also the first to hit the top 50 of Flickr Explorer (the best shots of the day).
