Rather like how my grandfather went. The night before he was largely incoherent, then he slipped into sleep for the last time around 8 or 9. My father noticed he wasn’t breathing around 9:30 and he was already cooling down, so to speak. Please let me know here or wherever if there is anything I can do to help you, **matt** 🙂 ---

My condolences, **Matt**. ☹ Try to find peace in the fact that he went with little pain… it’s more than a lot of people can hope for. And can I just say… on that CBC Montreal page… I LOVE that shot of your father getting off the plane! Very… journalist-like, for lack of a better word. I like the shot of him with you and your mom (I’m assuming), too. He sounds like a man who made the most out of his 56 years, **Matt**. I’m so sorry, **matt** – but I’m glad that none of you has to wait any more for him to be at rest. When my in-laws and my dad were dying, after a while we all just wanted it to be over. My thoughts are with you and your family now that your wait is over, too. ---
