Our New Iraq Counterinsurgency Strategy: Surge the Bombings!

What Every American Should Know About Iraq

And really, they should. Obligatory reading.

Then come back and tell me Bush shouldn’t be bashed anymore and/or that he is not a criminal that we should unite against.

What’s the alternative anyway? If you’re not against him and his policies, you certainly are against me. Except I wasn’t the one that made it a bipolar world.

This is something I like to bring up a lot I know, but actually a lot of people “in the know” (i.e. area experts, military historians, people who know something about counter insurgency and military matters) said this was quite the bad idea and officially concluded so in various internal reports, but it didn’t matter in the end because they were brushed aside by ideologues. I certainly wouldn’t describe the neo-cons and their cheerleaders in the MSM as men who fought and studied wars for 30 years.

Actually, didn’t Rumsfled flat-out forbid any talk of postwar planning in the Pentagon? It wasn’t so much scoffing at our dread as completely pretending the problem didn’t/wouldn’t exist.

Sailboat

Why do we want to fight them with one radioactive hand behind our back. We could nuke them to the ground. Thats the ticket. How many American lives would we save.

Video of a 500 lbs bomb being dropped on “insurgents.”

500 lb. Bomb Dropped on Insurgents

Listen to a soldier in the background as he comments: “We are about to drop a 500 lbs on a little shed…bit of overkill”

Note the size of the explosion and the expansion wave. And then tell me how “smart” that was.

Very true. After all that is the only logical next step if we’re to follow IS’s line of reasoning.

Smart, surgical nukes of course. They won’t kill 1,000 more innocents than they absolutely have to.

Lies by omission. What the US press aren’t publishing about Iraq.
