# Out of the Park Baseball: My League is Looking for an Owner

Hey all. For many years I’ve been a part of an Out of the Park Baseball league. We’re looking for an owner who had to drop out due to IRL issues.
For those who don’t know, [OOTP strives to be the most lifelike baseball simulation](https://www.ootpdevelopments.com/out-of-the-park-baseball-home/) around. Players become GM/Owner of a team and have to manage lineups/pitching/player development for a team as well as six level of minor league teams to develop new talent.
We’ve entering our 27 season and have been so successful we’ve even been written up by the game designers [for their blog](https://blog.ootpdevelopments.com/overeducated-baseball-league-mixes-highbrow-and-lowbrow/). BONUS: Click that link and see a picture of me with a penguin on my head.
If you’re used to rotisserie baseball this isn’t that. This is more like Pursue the Pennant or Earl Weaver baseball where we try to simulate team ownership and not just specific stat chasing. I’ve been playing fantasy baseball of one sort of another since the 1980s and it’s the best sim I’ve ever played.

What version of OOTP do I need? I have 19.

Popping in to say that I strongly recommend this league. I’ve been trudging along the well-traveled road of mediocrity in the OEL for a number of years now, and it’s a great group of people and a well-run league. Come join us! And maybe trade something good to North Jersey!
