“REE-tard” as a term for a mentally disabled person is. Re-TARD, as a term for slowing down, is not. My mother, in her dotage, has gone back to referring to black people as “colored.” ---

He was able to change his name legally and I’m sure they knew who Hitler was in the court where he did it. Not everyone has a great knowledge of WWII history. If I had to guess I would say there is a 50% chance of my daughter knowing who Mengele was. She enjoys learning history. There is a 0% chance my girlfriend knows. But mostly I just wanted to share I saw someone dressed as a Nazi yesterday. ---
