Phenacetin was taken off the market after it was discovered to cause kidney damage, even with low doses. You can still get PRID Salve. ---

I guess it is fairly harmless, since I have survived despite being dosed with a lot of it as a young person…. ---

Kaolin (the main ingredient in the old Kaopectate) does little except maybe absorb extra fluid in the stool. Morphine, obviously, has a major constipating effect.
