Cool place, **FCM** (the pub, not the old dining room & chandelier)…I’m originally from right near Okemos, so I had to zoom into the map to figure out exactly where it’s located. Can’t really picture the location. I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in the area. Long day…I need to go out and garden for a while… I’m hoping to get lots done tonight because it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. Of course it was supposed to rain today and we got…nuttin’. Less than 24 hours until I get my TJ’s stuff. I just finished _Peace Like A River_, by Leif Enger. Mr. Lissar read most of it aloud to me, but we haven’t had time in the past while for reading aloud, and we’re giving it back to Best Friend and her husband. My vision is all blurry from crying. Books that make you cry rock. Attacks Husband will be over in about an hour for a walk. Also, I have a slight rash on my forearms. I got this last year, too, at this time. I have no idea what it is- pollen? It’s just on my arms. I hope it goes away fast. At least it’s not poison ivy. See? I tied it in to **FCM** ’s post. Continuity. ---

FCM, that is one lovely chandelier! Please, please will you send it to me??? (NEVER!) I had to have a look at all your other photos - it is a nightmare of a house but you have to admire the previous owner’s persistence - “Oh, there’s a bit here that isn’t puke green or frilly, let’s add mirror wall tiles.” Will you show us the end result of all your hard labour? Our house needs doing but but I don’t know where to start, and DIY isn’t done here in Japan, so getting stuff is very hard. I have painted but beyond that it’s a bit much having to struggle against lack of supplies and proper tools. ---

😉 **Hokkaido Brit,** welcome to the MMP. Part of your initiation is to take that white elephant of a chandelier off of **FCM’s** hands. It’s the rule…well it’s one of the rules. The big rule is you have to send chocolate to all of us. Well, actually, **Swampy** would want beer, cookies, and ice cream. Day-um **VB!** I hope something happens with that trucker. Speaking as a trucker’s wife, that guy truly screwed up. What an idiot! I know it’s not the company my husband works for because their trucks won’t even do 80 mph. They have governors on them. Your Nutjob guy sounds like he wears tinfoil hats too. My goodness, what’s next? My kid making factory is shut down too, **FCM.** Makes things much simpler and spontaneous! I don’t have any funny rashes from plant matter, but for some very odd reason my neck, and just my neck is all broken out. What the hell is up with that? ---

I just had a brilliant idea! **FCM**! Since you have that big ol’ basement, you need to turn part of it into a pool room. Not just any ol’ pool room however. See, you could get a pool table and put the chandelier over the table. A pool table needs good light and you have the perfect lighting fixture right there! You could call it your Billiard Room, which you could get away with, cause what with the chandelier and all you could say you play Billiards instead of shoot pool. That’s much more classy. Now, your problem is solved. No need to thank me. My reward is in knowing how thrilled you must be right now. 😃 Now I’m off to the Pit to read **VunderBob’s** rantin’ and ravin’. -swampbear (a Foosball table might work too!) ---

Holy frijoles, people. When I don’t have internet access, you people just keep going, don’t you? I just spent at least an hour traipsing through LJ to catch up on that, and here we are on page 2 of the MMP, it’s Wednesday, and I’m just making my first post. BSMF and I went to Las Vegas for a few days. 2 people who really don’t like to gamble or shop were in the gambling/shopping/retail/consumer mecca of the southwest. We probably should have just gone camping. ---

Today is sweep/vacuum/mop/tidy day. I have to keep busy, or I’ll be popping in and out like a meerkat- “Are they here yet? Are they here yet?”. On the plus side, Attacks Husband stuck around until two-thirty, so I’m all tired out and woke up late. In a minute I should go pour water on Mr. Lissar and get him out of bed. I will definitely put all the books on the shelves today, too. I _will_. They _will not_ be stacked on the couch. ---

Wifey’s mother was up for Mothers Day last weekend and Wife gave her a taste without telling her what it was and she exclaimed “That tastes like roses and sugar!” I told her “That’s because it _is_ roses and sugar.” She gave me the patented MIL Look Of Disbelief[sup]TM[/sup]. There’re now two kitties at the shelter where I volunteer that look like [this](http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/lioncut.asp). It’s just SOOOO cute. I can’t help but laugh at them. That’s when they get that indignant look that you can see in the pix on the link. Just too funny. No food stories, no rashes, no camping stories. Boy, I’m boring. ---
