# Outlook!  Again! (Plain text email problem)

For those playing at home, I did resolve my MS Exchange problem from [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=561891), but now I have another annoying problem. All of a sudden (well, ok for the last few weeks) all of my email comes into my mailbox in plain text (this is Outlook 2007). I have gone to the Trust Center and made sure the “read all email in plain text” box is unchecked. For shits and giggles, I even checked it but left the “Read all digitally signed email in plain text” box unchecked and re-started Outlook.

No change.

This. Is. Fucking. Driving. Me. Crazy. I want my email in html, goddammit. I get newsletters and confirmation emails that are a total PITA to use/read in plain text.

This seemed to happen suddenly, so I’ve run all my standard virus scans. No effect. I have Hijack This. Is there some particular bad boy I should be looking for in its results that could be causing this?

If you can help me I swear to gawd I will buy you a beer or the soda of your choice.

Ok, I uninstalled AVG 9.0. Let’s see if that helps.

Glad to see that You problems have been solved. I’ll also suggest checking out Microsoft Security essentials as a replacement fro AVG.

I’ve slowly been replacing AVG with that on most of the machines I have and maintain as AVG has gotten too blotted.
