# Outlook Express .dbx files to Mac query

I copied the .dbx mail database from my old Windows XP machine before finally getting rid of it a year or so ago, and now would like to transfer the emails onto my Mac. I no longer have a PC, so any data transfer program would have to be Mac-compatible.

Does anyone have a recommendation for such a program? Happy to pay a reasonable amount for this (up to say $40). Any cautionary tales? And indeed, is it possible in one step, or would I need a PC to convert to an intermediate step?

Don’t need answer fast.

I used that to convert an old Novell Groupwise archive to Mac-readable mail and it worked fine for that.
