# Outlook Express Inbox now missing 2009-10 e-mails

I keep a lot more e-mails stored than I should. Last night I left my computer on & went to work. During the night, an unexpected storm came up & when I got home, my computer was off. When I rebooted, everything was find except OE struggled to come up very slowly. After 3 reboots, it finally came up & works fine except all my e-mails from 2009-10 are gone from the Inbox AND ONLY FROM THE INBOX. I tried compressing as recommended by the Microsoft OE troubleshooting page & that didn’t improve things. So am I stuck, if there a fix I can do, or should I take it to the shop & hope they can retrieve those messages? Thanks!
