Not to mention all the ammo. Just think of all the metal that was just dumped all over Europe in those years. I saw a picture of a guy shoveling spent shell casings out of a B-17.

The American Volunteer Group, the ‘Flying Tigers’, did not originate the shark’s teeth motif. The article is correct about that. But they’re wrong that the design originated in 1939.
