I believe if you tried to do it by smoking you would die of clogged lungs before reaching the toxic level of THC. ---

OD-ing on MJ is impossible by normal means (smoking, eating), not so sure about shrooms but I sure as hell ain’t gonna be the guinea pig for that one. I’ve eaten unholy amounts of shrooms with frightening results so if you can indeed OD on shrooms, it must be one hell of a way to go. In the name of science I am willing to smoke a kilogram of zero-zero if someone will eat 4 dozen Amanita muscaria mushrooms, whoever dies first loses …or wins. ---

As far as shroom ODing is concerned, does that refer to psilo(cybin,cin) ODing only or the whole thing? ---

I am reasonably certain it is possible to overdose on marijuana taken orally. The dosage needed is very high but the slow onset of effects means that novice users ocasionally end up taking massive amounts in the mistaken belief that it isn’t doing anything to them. This can produce very unpleasant short term psychiatric effects (I believe over several days). I have to admit that my knowledge of this is purely theoretical but I have talked to clinicians who have had personal experience treating patients thus afflicted. I can’t imagine any scenario involving recreational marijuana use that could lead to a fatal overdose. ---

smoking? no way in hell, as stated your lungs couldnt handle that much smoke. orally? I would say maybe, you can use certain techniques to concentrate the thc by cooking. so I suppose if your intent was truly massive amounts of thc per cookie or whatever it could be done. it would still take a ton of pot and probably a modified recipe but I think you could do it. still wouldnt be easy. ---

No. Pot is a physically benign drug. The smoke itself might be harmful. The jury’s still out on effects other than physical, but that’s not what you asked about. Peace, man-george ---

I suspect that you would succumb to smoke inhalation as the primary cause of death before you would O.D. Now, it’s interesting that you mention “pure”. Since the quality control departments of your local long-haired-hippie-type-freaks have been shown to be sparce, it’s not the THC you have to worry about. I highly doubt that industrial wastes or high end designer drugs are going to find their way into your eight headed hooka pipe, that’s the good news. The bad news is that the stuff that gives just a bit more “oomph” _can_ be rather nasty stuff. It’s possible to O.D. on angel dust, or meth. Not that it’s common for it to be laced these days, but in theory, it _is_ possible to OD from smoking weed. It’s just it’s not the weed that is the problem. ---
