I clicked on this headline today in the Columbus Dispatch website, not knowing quite what to expect: “Birth control aimed at Columbus rats now being offered to residents” Someone apparently figured out the Dispatch might be confusing readers, because the new headline is: “You can get help with rat problems in new city program” Columbus officials are touchy about the rat situation, seeing that the city recently made Orkin’s list of the 50 metro areas in the U.S. with the most rats (though Cleveland and Cincinnati are rattier). I was picturing _people_ using very tiny rat condoms etc., which is probably why they changed the headline… ---

Seeing that a lot of people have taken livestock ivermectin that they bought at a feed store, it wouldn’t surprise me if some dodos who were beneficiaries of the Columbus program decided to slurp rat contraceptive out of the bait stations. Hey, free birth control! ---
