Oversized SUV baby strollers, I sentence you to death.

Understood. What I was responding to was the poster I quoted who, while directing her ire at the OP, seems to have the attitude that if people don’t have cat-like reflexes it’s their fault when mowed down by a stroller. It’s that kind of general obliviousness to anyone other than themselves that I was replying to.

If we are referring to the same incident, then no, at least not according to what I read and was told. While some people did believe there was a complete ban, the majority of the sturm und drag was directed at being asked to park strollers in one area. How long the hullabaloo lasted I don’t know. That there was a hullabaloo, in the first place, is what I find unbelievable.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had to worry about strollers, and all we ever had was an umbrella stroller anyway, but I can understand being a bit worried about having to leave a stroller where I couldn’t keep track of it, in a store. I do understand why the store would want to do that, but I always had my diaper bag hanging on the stroller, with my billfold and personal stuff in it. And maybe the rest of the bags from my shopping, too. It wouldn’t have taken much for somebody to make off with some of it. And dragging it with me probably would have been just as much of an inconvenience to the people around me, since I only have two hands and one of them would have been occupied with the baby.
