# oxygenated water

Lately I have seen a barrage of these products and keep wondering why. Do we need really need extra oxygen in our water and other foods or is this just a marketing ploy?

Humans have a perfectly adequate source of oxygen already. It meets all our needs. There is no need to supplement it. It’s called “air”.
