A long time, I think. The only one I’ve ever attended was one when **Swampbear** came up from Georgia and a bunch of us met him up in Seattle to spend the day. We did the Seattle Underground tour and then went to a restaurant for dinner and conversation. We had a great time. There were several of us PNW Dopers there, and one couple even drove up from Oregon. ---

Speaking from my own experience, it was a lot of fun. I did not experience any awkwardness. There was plenty of beer, plenty of food, and plenty of conversation. ---

You know, I’ve been meaning to open up [Rockhoppers](http://www.ferryfolk.com) again for a dopefest. We’re walking distance from the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry, on Whidbey Island north of Seattle. I know it’s a hike for Seattle people, but you could plan a day on the island… We’ve got a beer & wine license, live music on Saturday, food, free wi-fi, and it’s a pretty cool place. You could come early to see the fair, then head to Rockhoppers for the music. But I’m open to any date – including other than Saturday. Dopers are always welcome – free coffee, just say “Cecil sent me”. ---

Our ‘official’ hours on Sunday are 8-6, but I can stay open until 11pm, no problem. Being the owner gives me some privileges re: hours.
