I’m flying in on the afternoon/evening of the 16th so I probably wouldn’t be able to make that. The 17th is a real possibility for me; I assume that weekdays are probably out for most people (and besides, I plan to be hiking if I can figure out my transportation issues) and I’ll probably be heading down to Portland on the 22nd or 23rd. [/QUOTE] My plan (such as it is–I’m not quite ready for world domination yet) is to likely be in Portland 23-24 August, flying out on the morning of the 25th. Other than an evening kayaking trip around Ross Island and lunch at Higgins I have no fixed plans, so I could be up for something in Portland on those dates as long as it is accessible from the MAX. So, based on the paucity of responses and time limits, I believe I’m going to bump Portland from my itinerary so as to maximize my backpacking in Olympic and exploring Seattle. (I may head back up during ski season; anybody do cross country?) So, Seattle and surroundings–17, 23, 24? Stranger ---
