Another Green Bay Press-Gazette article about the London game – this one is likely behind a paywall, but it does indicate that, as @dalej42 had been saying, the Packers insisted for years that they would not give up a game at Lambeau for international play, up until the league made it mandatory.

> The Packers said from the start of the[NFL’s international series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_International_Series) in 2007 that they would not give up a home game to play abroad. They successfully held that line until the NFL expanded to 17-game seasons and made international play mandatory at least once over an eight-year period. [The Packers will meet their obligation this season](https://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/news/2022/02/28/green-bay-packers-play-london-england-year-nfl-2022-season-tottenham-hotspur-stadium-lambeau-field/6943236001/).

> As a result, they will host only one preseason game, instead of two, and eight regular-season games at Lambeau Field.

Bumped.

Interesting possibilities…

> Could the NFL put multiple teams in Europe? It's a wild idea -- here are the challenges, and the opportunities, involved.
