Not quite the same, but Evelyn Waugh’s wife was named Evelyn. According to Wikipedia, their friends called them “He-Evelyn” and “She-Evelyn.” ---

Family history records are not always particularly reliable; even official birth, death and marriage certificates can be riddled with inaccuracies, omissions and lies. ---
