Prime Minister Khan was resisting the calling of the confidence motion, alleging that it was being put forward by the request of the US government, unhappy with his support for Russia. I thought Khan had dissolved Parliament and called for new elections to avoid the vote of No Confidence. What happened to that strategem? ---

The Supreme Court held that the dissolution was itself unconstitutional. The parliament then voted on the non-confidence motion. ---

And he let their Supreme Court do that? Boy, they just don’t make monomaniacal dictatorships like they used to… ---

Just recently I read about Putin purging 200 agents from one of his intelligence agencies. But on further reading, it turned out he’d just fired them, although he did jail the head. Ol’ Stalin would have given those guys life in front of a firing squad.
