Palin pardons a turkey at a turkey farm (of course, the turkey was probably slaughtered 10 minutes after Palin left) and then gives an interview spouting inanities while turkeys are killed and bled out right behind her, no doubt scarring a whole generation of young Alaskans. I cracked up. He looks so confused stuffing that turkey in the Turkeymatic. “Should I?” He seems to go back and forth between slaughtering it and waiting for her to leave, and the trough of blood and feathers behind her makes for a great visual. Spot on media work, Sarah. ---

Isn’t there a rule here about misleading thread titles? You might want to ask a mod to change this title to make it clear you’re joking. As for the video itself, eh, that’s life on a farm. Since she apparently knows how to field dress a moose, I don’t think Palin would be perturbed much even if she had noticed what was going on. It’s a good reminder not to buy a turkey for Thanksgiving if that sort of blood and gore bothers you, though. Incidentally, I have a friend who lovingly raises ducks as if they were pets, and then slaughters them to eat when they’re grown. I find it morbid and creepy…but, again, that’s life on a farm. ---

I think the point here is that, if you’re going to go through the whole ridiculous ceremony of pardoning a turkey, you don’t give an interview immediately following that, showing other turkeys being slaughtered. This is just basic political acumen. ---
