I think she would have done more interviews if there had been more opportunities to have animals being slaughtered in the background. ---

It was _Katie Frickin’ Couric_, little Ms. Perky Inane herself. And the supposed loaded, “gotcha” question was a whiffle ball. “Gee whillikers, Governor Palin, what do you read?” That is as close to a a free pass at it comes. The deeply stupid demagogue just couldn’t figure out her spin fast enough because spin is _all_ she has. Most candidates would just reel off the titles of a major newspaper or two and an a magazine that leans in the appropriate political direction. Or since she’s an airhead, she could have just appealed straight to her base and replied, “The Bible”. Palin is great comic value though. It’s more than a little scary that so many disaffected Righties seem to take her seriously because they’re in luuurve with their poster girl, no matter how ridiculous and corrupt and flat out stupid her actions. I welcome news about her though because the stupid wench simply _doesn’t learn_. Face it, any sitcom character like her would have been dismissed as unbelievable. ---

What gets me is that she keeps pouting and talking about Katie’s question being about “what do you read _up there in Alaska_?” When what she asked was (paraphrased) “what newspapers do you read that have shaped your worldview?” So she can just save the mock outrage on behalf of all literate Alaskans, Katie never said the word Alaska. What Katie was giving her was a golden opportunity to talk about the ideas that move her and shape her beliefs. Golden. And she stalled with “any of 'em, all of 'em.” Like that makes any sense. What a maroon. ---

True. She should have insisted on fielding the hard hitting questions from second graders all over the country. As for Tina Fey, she was more famous, but I think she really got front page coverage thanks to Palin. Isn’t 30 Rock doing better now? SNL certainly got its best ratings ever thanks to her. ---

[The editor of the Anchorage Daily News](http://community.adn.com/adn/node/136523) tries to explain to a person with a degree in journalism how journalism works. I hope Palin takes his advice and goes on. I’d like to read more about it. ---
