# Pancakes, Waffles, or French Toast?

Years (decades, actually) ago, I was staying at a hotel in San Francisco. The restaurant in the hotel was “[Fournou’s Ovens](https://sf.eater.com/2008/9/29/6784903/the-shutter-fournous-ovens-done-after-35-years).” I went down for breakfast, and had their scratch-made Current bread French toast. It was delicious beyond description! I could hardly wait until the next morning so that I could go have it again - an amazing experience.
