The people are all in hiding, under Wales’ strict covid measures. No cars in the streets, no people walking the town. It’s just the opportunity that Welsh goats at Lllandudno have been waiting for. Operation Goat-World has begun! One village at a time. Be afraid. > **[This locked down Welsh town has been overtaken by goats | CBC Radio](https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-tuesday-edition-1.5516171/this-locked-down-welsh-town-has-been-overtaken-by-goats-1.5516513)** > > While the U.K. undergoes strict lockdown measures to stop the spread of coronavirus, one group of Welsh residents is flouting all the rules. ---

I thank you for this. Not only the goat story, which I am certainly not going to share with my own goats, but the linked story with what was the best headline of my day: Astrophysicist Gets Magnets Stuck In His Nose. > **[Astrophysicist gets magnets stuck in nose while trying to fight face touching...](https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-tuesday-edition-1.5516171/astrophysicist-gets-magnets-stuck-in-nose-while-trying-to-fight-face-touching-1.5516178)** > > An Australian astrophysicist says it was a combination of goodwill and boredom that caused him to get several powerful magnets stuck in his nose on Thursday. ---

A timely post. Next week (in celebration of Earth Day 2021) Apple TV releases the new David Attenborough documentary on how nature responded to our lockdown from Covid . This is presumably the leader. I’m trying to parse the expression on that face. Lovable furry innocence, or nefarious plotter of mankind’s overthrow? The narrowed eyes and sardonic half-smile definitely suggest “nefarious plotter”.
