Mullinator, why don’t you try [www.landsend.com](http://www.landsend.com)? They have reasonably priced unhemmed khakis. Better yet, they’ll hem pants for you. However, I think they only go up to 36" hems. Bummer

I found the easiest way to avoid having to buy 32/36 was to join the Comp Sci. faculty. 😉
P.S. - I’m writing down these tips!

Nanoda - who is now 34/36, but still not looking forward to buying pants for impending entering of workforce.

Try shopping for 52/30 sometime, then we’ll talk.

Otto, who now wears pants that wouldn’t fit two normal-sized people

Damn, and I was going to suggest Lands End.

Hey - keep the suggestions coming. The hubby’s 6’6" and insists on having pants as long as he can get them. He swears that the 36x36s I buy him are too short. He likes them when he stands, but he doesn’t want them riding above his ankles when he sits, you see. Never mind that that’s what pants _do_ when you sit. So I’m looking for long pants, and he’ll have pants with worn back hems (from where he steps on them) that don’t come above his ankles when he sits.

One of these days (if I can find 'em), I’m gonna buy a pair of 36x50s. Just to show him.

Snicks

Aaron has the opposite problem. He was born with a very long torso, but short stumpy little legs. He wears a 6-9 months in shirts, but I can’t find pants that fit him properly, unless I buy them long and hem them. If I do that, however, I have to keep buying new pants, because letting them out is a pain.

Aaron spends a lot of time in sleepers and onesies.

Pantwrights? Trouser production engineers? Slackers?

Anyway, I’m officially adopting “pantsmakers” as my Word of the Day. And if it weren’t such a cliche, I’d suggest “Pantsmakers of the World” as a good Band Name.

While I’m here, I’ll throw in my sympathy with the OP. I wear a 34 or 36 inch inseam, which is rare enough that I can see how you’d really have trouble finding anything longer.
