Not to take all the glory away from Davebear for his sex posts, but since we all seem to be talking about panties this week, I am curious to ask ladies, what kind of panties do you wear and does it make adifference if you are seeing your SO or not?
I’m wondering if age and marital status have something to do with it too.
Seems like most all the women who post wear cotton for comfort. I personally can’t stand to have anything on the sides of my legs. I either wear string bikinis or thongs and an informal survey of my pals indicate pretty much the same except for working out. When I work out, I just don’t freakin’ wear any.
Okay now for you guys, I saw a couple of comments about liking cotton granny panties. My ex used to like that innocent look as well but I never liked the feel of it. What percentage of you guys would prefer sensible cotton over sleezy lacy satin things?

As posted with Davebear, I wear cotton ass covering panties in colors. I just can’t get comfy in thongs. Satin is okay for bras and occassion panties that I don’t intend on having to wear long. Lace is the scourge that walk by day. I hate that stuff.
It doesn’t really make a difference if someone is going to see them or not. If they care, they can go play with someone else. (I feel this way about clothing as well. I dress for me. If GuyX is going to have a problem with me, he should start having it as soon as possible to avoid confusion later.)
Of course, I have a fondness for corsets, which tends to make me a little less of the total hag bitch that I have presented myself to be above.

35 - I wear Hi-Cut Briefs - I just find them more comfortable.

t-strings and hipster thongs.
crazy colours and patterns, always cotton.
the smaller my underwear is, the happier i am.
I own exactly 3 pairs of non-thong panties, they came in sets with bras, and are for wearing under short skirts.

Sring bikinis for the most part, as they seem the least prone to riding up, shifting, etc. I think a lot of it is that my butt is shaped funny.
Thongs are all right if I have nothing to do but sit around all day. When I’m sedentary, they stay in place all right, but once I start moving around very much, they start crawling even further up my ass and start to…um…chafe.
My husband has never seemed to take any interest in my underwear other than to see how quickly it can be removed, no matter what I wear, so he has zero impact on which undies I put on.

Bikini cut, black cotton; I’ve been buying the same brand/style for a while & am very happy with 'em. Satin is okay if it has a cotton crotch, but I’m not likely to buy that style any time soon. My SO doesn’t seem to care what I wear, either . . . once the jeans come off, the panties don’t seem to last long enough for him to notice anyway. 😃

That is exactly how I feel. Maybe I was a nudist in another life or something (although I realize that can’t be scientifically proven…)
And I never meant to insinuate that you could be classified as any kind of hag deoending on your underwear. I get all freaked out by all that material and cotton just feels heavy and hot. I like stringy things, not all tbacks or g-strings I have been told panty lines are sexy sometimes too) if what I am wearing is not too tight I like high cut string bikinis. I guess i am dressing for my own comfort as well - just in a different way.
On an unrelated side note but something tht just crossed my mind - I had a house guest that ran out of undies and ASKED TO BORROW A PAIR! Skeeved me out. I showed her the washer and told her I’d take her to the store if she wanted. Ick.

I have worn thongs exclusively since high school, and I will be 36 this year. Love 'em, and they are perfect for any occasion! I even wore them while I was pregnant. I loved the look on the salesgirl’s face when I waddled in and asked “Where are the _large_ thongs?” The manager, however, was a thong girl and didn’t bat an eye, just led me to the right table and told me which ones she wore when she was pregnant!
I do have a couple of pairs of granny panties that I wore right after my kids were born, and a couple of “girdle” panties (heavy on the lycra) from the same time period.
I hate panty lines, which is why I like thongs. However, if I wear those low-rider jeans, my thong DOES NOT SHOW! I wear the waist of the thong down low so it doesn’t show. When exactly did showing your bra or panties become fashionable instead of trashy? Ugh.

I’m 28 and fat. I wear cotton hi-cut briefs in the least girlish colors I can find. Black and brick-red are good. Fuschia and leopard print are better. I really want jewel-tones, but they’re hard to find - foofy pink and sky-blue stripes seem to sell better, mostly (I presume) to the under-25 crowd.
Non-cotton fabrics and non-butt-covering cuts are not an option, as they will ride up and disappear over the course of a day. I own one pair of black poly satin undies, and they go with one specific dress that will catch on anything else. I am so uptight about the non-cotton fabrics that I refuse to wear pantyhose unless my skirt is so short that my garter belt will show. (Of course, in a skirt that short, sometimes that’s the effect you want, neh? 😛 )
I do have a host of other filmy underthings, lace pettipants and the like, but those go on over the panties, not right up next to the buttocks.

Well, as far as my panties go, I have been an “old lady” since childhood. I always wear cotton, but never white. I prefer the bold and vivid solids and patterns. I used to wear the hipsters but they haven’t made those in years, so now I wear regular briefs. I have never been able to stand bikinis, and I ain’t _even_ gonna attempt a thong. I accidently bought a package of “hi-cut” a few weeks ago, and groaned when I saw what I had done, thinking they were the same as “french cut” but was surprised to find they are quite comfortable. They “stay put”, unlike bikinis.
The various men in my life have never seemed to notice my panties. Not even the long-term/live-in ones.

Personally, I love hipsters and boy shorts. Low cut bikini is ok, too, but not my favorite.
I generally go for plain, solid colors or stripes, in cotton or micrfiber (which is soooo comfy).
Of course, I have owned nor worn a thong. I have no desire to, either.

Nobody cares what kind of underwear I have on, so I wear what I like.
I usually stick to high cut briefs in cotton or satin. All different colors.
I have some cotton grandma panties stashed in the back of the drawer, just in case. In case of what, I don’t know.
I don’t have any thongs, because I can’t find any that I like very much. I have some clothes that I should probably wear them with, but spending a day in an uncomfortable thong is like a little slice of hell right here on earth.

i love VS’s boxers. i hate having elastic around my thighs, kinda pinches the skin. and it has to be cotton.
well, except the one pair of black lace boxers i have. those are saved for those special occasions.
i’m 23 and engaged.
