I reuse them for, among other things, putting newspapers for recycling in. No need to tie the newspapeers up, just throw the papers bag and all into the boy scouts collection dumpster. As has been said, the paper ones will compost.
I have helped clean up both the creeks and the desert around here, and those plastic ones are everywhere.
Besides which, most of my cousins are loggers, so I am helping to keep them employed.
If the stores around here stop providing the paper bags free, I will go to another store. I travel enough for work for this to be an option. I HATE any government micro-managing my life.
The ones I have all have a thin plastic rectangle thingy in the bottom that helps hold the bags shape. I don’t have any issue loading my bags at the grocery store, I actually like loading my bags better than the plastic ones because they are rectangular and you can tetris all the boxes in the bag for a perfect fit.
Anyone use reusable produce bags? We joined a CSA this year and I could really use some good produce bags.
