This is one of the most irrational arguments I’ve heard–all the time, I see and hear on TV people identifying themselves with “I am a gun-owner,” “I own 15 guns,” “I believe in and act on the second Amendment” proudly, and their home addresses are no secret. How tough is it to find out where your Congressman lives? So in theory, these people are revealing valuble information to burglars "I GOT GUNS!! COME N GIT “EM!” and you’re lauding as heroes. But if someone else were to make public on a list the names and addresses of congressmen with guns, you’d be all up in arms. Why is that? ---

Surely you understand the difference. ---
